Islamic Organisation Recognises Abida Mia For Empowering Women

Islamic Organisation called Muslim Commission for Justice and Peace has conferred certificate of recognition to Abida Sidik Mia over her charity work and efforts in empowering women to become independent in Malawi.

Abida Mia who is the wife to Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Vice President and Business Mogul Sidik Mia commended the organisation for the recognition.

"Little did I know that the little we do is appreciated by others until yesterday in Chikwawa when the Muslim Commission for Justice and Peace conferred upon me a certificate of recognition for my charity work and my humble efforts in empowering women to become independent in the country and Chikwawa Nkombedzi constituency in particular."

"I shall live to cherish this honor!", Mia said.

Abida Sidik Mia will contest for the post of Member of Parliament( MP) in Chikwawa Nkombedzi Constituency on MCP ticket in 2019 Tripartite elections.

Muslim Poet Set To Release Video Poems

By: Sheminah Nkhoma A Blantyre based Muslim poet is set to release two video poems this year which are expected to touch the hearts of many people in the country. During the shooting of poems. Speaking in an interview,  the poet Yusuf Bamusi said that he is happy that the long awaited dream of producing his video poems will soon come true since he started the journey of composing poems. “I have been waiting for these two videos to come out and now I thank Allah that what I have been asking for is now at the last stage and that any time it will released the first poem which is titled “Kundende” is enlightening about the hardships which the prisoners are facing in different prisons in the country and the second poem is titled “UMASIYE” is explaining about the hardships which the orphans are facing when they don’t have anyone to look after them”, said Bamusi. Muslim Students Vow to Sell Malawi in Saudi Arabia

Malawian students studying at Gassim University in Saudi Arabia vowed to sell the country during People's Heritage Festival slated on Tuesday ,29th January, 2019. Speaking in an interview with Islamic  Information Kit,One of the Malawian students, Abdul Karim Shuaib said that they will let Arabs know the scope of Malawi during the event. Shuaib who is a year one student studying Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences at the University said that the festival will help them to elaborate what Malawi is.
