Somali Student Serves Malawi Students In Uganda

The Football Team of Malawi students who are studying at Islamic University In Uganda (IUIU) has been held in a 1 to 1 score against Somali Students Football Team in a friendly match.

The match played today at Islamic University In Uganda's football ground in Mbale District , Eastern Uganda.

The Somali students team scored their goal  in the first half  and an own goal of the the Somali student player in the second half helped Malawi students football team to claim the draw.

In the second half, Malawi students players failed to convert clear chances into the net of the Somalis.

The two teams are expected to meet again this coming Sunday in a scheduled  friendly match as well.

The teams will also meet next semester in Islamic University International Students Football Trophy that Malawi students football team is leading with nine points in the first round.

The Islamic University International Students Football  Trophy this year is being sponsored by Multi choice Uganda.

Muslim Poet Set To Release Video Poems

By: Sheminah Nkhoma A Blantyre based Muslim poet is set to release two video poems this year which are expected to touch the hearts of many people in the country. During the shooting of poems. Speaking in an interview,  the poet Yusuf Bamusi said that he is happy that the long awaited dream of producing his video poems will soon come true since he started the journey of composing poems. “I have been waiting for these two videos to come out and now I thank Allah that what I have been asking for is now at the last stage and that any time it will released the first poem which is titled “Kundende” is enlightening about the hardships which the prisoners are facing in different prisons in the country and the second poem is titled “UMASIYE” is explaining about the hardships which the orphans are facing when they don’t have anyone to look after them”, said Bamusi. Muslim Students Vow to Sell Malawi in Saudi Arabia

Malawian students studying at Gassim University in Saudi Arabia vowed to sell the country during People's Heritage Festival slated on Tuesday ,29th January, 2019. Speaking in an interview with Islamic  Information Kit,One of the Malawian students, Abdul Karim Shuaib said that they will let Arabs know the scope of Malawi during the event. Shuaib who is a year one student studying Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences at the University said that the festival will help them to elaborate what Malawi is.
