Muslim Students Vow to Sell Malawi in Saudi Arabia

Malawian students studying at Gassim University in Saudi Arabia vowed to sell the country during People's Heritage Festival slated on Tuesday ,29th January, 2019.

Speaking in an interview with Islamic  Information Kit,One of the Malawian students, Abdul Karim Shuaib said that they will let Arabs know the scope of Malawi during the event.

Shuaib who is a year one student studying Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences at the University said that the festival will help them to elaborate what Malawi is.

"During the day, we will cook Malawian food , explain the history of Malawi, explain the economic stand of Malawi and where it is found on earth."

"We have best places in Malawi. Let's talk of our lakeshore districts such as Salima, Mangochi and Nkhatabay. Let's talk of mountains such as Mulanje.  These are best places and if these people can know, one time they can visit Malawi and bring in our country forex." He said.

Shuaib added that Arabs are rich people and if they can know about Malawi, one day they can decide to invest in the "warm heart of Africa."

"Arabs have money but most of them don't know the existence of Malawi. This platform will help us to inform them the vitality of investing in Malawi. It can't be today or tomorrow but one day , they will decide to go and invest in Malawi through our guidance," He said.

Gassim University is having 18 students from Malawi who are studying various programmes such as Medicine, Engineering and Social Sciences among others.

The University is found in Burayda city,
the center of Al Gassim region which is 50 kilometers from Saudi's capital Riyadh.

Muslim Poet Set To Release Video Poems

By: Sheminah Nkhoma A Blantyre based Muslim poet is set to release two video poems this year which are expected to touch the hearts of many people in the country. During the shooting of poems. Speaking in an interview,  the poet Yusuf Bamusi said that he is happy that the long awaited dream of producing his video poems will soon come true since he started the journey of composing poems. “I have been waiting for these two videos to come out and now I thank Allah that what I have been asking for is now at the last stage and that any time it will released the first poem which is titled “Kundende” is enlightening about the hardships which the prisoners are facing in different prisons in the country and the second poem is titled “UMASIYE” is explaining about the hardships which the orphans are facing when they don’t have anyone to look after them”, said Bamusi.
