Malenga- No one is born a politician

Malawian student studying Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication in Uganda, has asked Malawians not to cast benefits of doubts at Dr. Saulos Klaus Chilima's choice of picking Dr. Michael Bizwick Usi as running mate to the Tripartite elections.

Dr.  Usi's candidature as running mate has been underrated by a cross section of Malawians who are connecting him to his artistic drama production in Tikuferanji programmes as Manganya or abambo a Sikono, both on radio and Television.

Bright Malenga, who is undergoing his studies  at the Islamic University in Uganda, said Dr. Usi can only be argued to be incompetent vice president if he was using some words that were intended to divide Malawians.

Malenga said Dr. Usi would have been described as a failure if is attached to any scandal that can dent his image but this has not happened.

Writing on his facebook page, Malenga said Malawians need leaders who must start thinking of how Malawi can be transformed both socially and economically, and one such leader is Dr. Usi.

He said Dr. Usi knows the sufferings of the local Malawians as he has been working with Malawians at grassroot level for many years using drama to preach about harmful bad cultural practices and educating a girl child.

The scholar said Dr. Usi has been speaking tough on corruption and bad governance saying he will be a solution if Malawians decide to choose him alongside with his president, Dr. Saulos Klaus Chilima to lead the country after the tripartite elections.

He said a politician is just made from nothing saying no one was born a politician as some people are just politicians not leaders and others are leaders cum- politicians.

Malenga gave out a strong example of prominent leaders who have excelled from nothing such as Ronald Reagan, from a film actor to U.S.president, George Weah, from a top football star to president of Liberia and Andry Nirina Rajoelina, from a Disc Joker to president of Madagascar.

He said during Dr. Usi's tenure in office at the Adventist Relief Association( ADRA), saw the Faith Based Organisation ( FBO) becoming one of the active development partners of the government of Malawi.

Meanwhile, the Malawi Electoral Commission ( MEC) has approved candidates for May 21 presidential elections.

Nine( 9) candidates will compete for a hot seat of the country's leader with one, Mr. Loudon Titan Malingamoyo Phiri of National Salvation Front( NASAF) being disqualified after meeting the minimum requirement of 10 electors in one district only,  out of the required 28.
