By: Innocent Mpando.  'The world is like a mirror, when you smile, it also smiles and when you are sad it reflects the same', goes the saying.In the same spirit, pupils from Chamalaza  Primary School  located in one of the remotest areas of Mzuzu wore smile faces on Sartuday when Mzuzu university Muslim Students Association (Mumsa) donated assorted items necessary for hygiene. Despite a lack of resources in the organisation, the islamic grouping was  motivated by one of the pillars of Islam that encourages the art of giving out  charity commonly known as 'Zakkah' in Arabic language. For the same cause, the students were on last Sartaday out for a  donation to the circular school located atleast 25 km from Mzuzu central. South African Broadcasting Corperation (SABC) has apologised to Malawians for implicating Malawians, particularly the Yao Muslims from southern part of the country  in Kenya attacks. The independent news analyst of the broadcast house allerged that Malawians were among the terrorists who terrorised and  killed people at a Luxury Hotel in Kenya. The remarks angered Malawians who asked SABC to clarify it's baseless allegations that can tarnish Malawi's image. Malawian students studying at Gassim University in Saudi Arabia vowed to sell the country during People's Heritage Festival slated on Tuesday ,29th January, 2019. National Muslim Students Association (NAMSA) has elected new members into it's National Executive Committee (NEC) during an elections conference held on Saturday at College of Medicine in Blantyre. The elections saw Yasin Sadi from College of Medicine as  new NAMSA Chairperson and Shukran Shaban from the same college as Deputy Chairperson. New NAMSA Secretary General is Aisha Senga from Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) and her deputy is Tanweera Chikwata from Bunda College, a constituent college of Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (Luanar).
